We recently received our Chesterfield Corner Sofa order from the Chesterfield Sofa Company and so thought it might be useful to share our experience.
We ordered our sofa online after finding the exact style that we were after and at an unbeatable price. The website is easy enough to use and walks you … read more through the options available to customise your sofa. We would note however that there are other subtle options that can be accommodated if you ask, such as higher feet in order to raise the sitting height slightly, but we only discovered that when we visited the showroom in person.
The morning after placing our order Joanne called us to check over the order and make sure everything was as expected - this was the first but certainly not the last contact we had with Joanne and her attention to detail and customer service is excellent. Even when we visited the showroom, Joanne was extremely attentive and listened to the exact specifications that we were looking for, making the suggestion of taller feet and the ideal cushion firmness. We were also fortunate enough to be invited into the workshop so that we could see one of the chesterfields being made, which was a really nice touch and great to see quality items being made traditionally.
We definitely were not the easiest clients - half way through our lead time we realised that we could have actually accommodated a larger sofa and so enquired about having it changed to a larger size. Despite us having an awkward request and having had the frame made, Joanne was able to amend the order to allow for the larger sized sofa, with only an additional two week delay.
Joanne kept us updated along the way, letting us know when the sofa was being manufactured and with updated delivery dates. We’ve now received our new sofa and are absolutely in love with it - the quality is second to none and the comfort/support that is offered by a Chesterfield sofa is incredible.
I cannot recommend this company enough - if you’re considering ordering a Chesterfield, please do not hesitate to purchase one through the Chesterfield Sofa Company. -

I am very fussy when it comes to furniture as it needs to be handmade with a true attention to detail. Most of the chesterfields you will find online are Chinese rubbish. You may save … read more a few hundred quid but it will inevitably disintegrate over time. Take my word for this, the chairmakers at this company are truly skilled professionals. Granted you will pay a little bit more but take my word for it, these chairs will see you out. If you buy one, stick it in your will; they are that well made. I purchased an oxblood recliner after visiting their showroom. It is truly a magnificent chair which has created quite the talking point with family and friends. I tend to sit in my chair reading the newspaper with a wee dram of scotch. If you want to add that touch of sophistication to your homestead, you will not go wrong by investing your trust in this company. Thank you Joanne, it is heartening to see a British furniture maker producing such wonderful furniture in the beautiful Rossendale Valley. I am sincerely looking forward to my next purchase. Perhaps a Captain's Chair for my office? We shall see...

We ordered the Hepburn in a 4 seater and 2.5 seater with a footstool. Being able to support a local company was high on our list of must haves. We visited the showroom and were able to ask as many questions as we needed to and could personalise things such as cushion firmness,legs, leathers,finishes … read more etc. The footstool was custom made for us to be the same height as the sofa so we could create a chaise effect. Delivery was an excellent experience with a great little team who took great care of the furniture and the house on the way in. Most of all we love our sofas and how they look in the room. They are just as we imagined them to be. If you are looking for something special,locally made at a great price then look no further than here!
